one thing you know about Wendy Williamsshe’s not about anything… which is why she told us – as only Wendy did – about her ongoing medical struggles, and the start of her new career.
Wendy joined us Tuesday on “TMZ Live” to tell us more about why she’s running TV, right now, and instead choosing to produce her own podcast — and for her, it’s all about time and money.
Apparently she was doing some homework, because she told us… “When you’re famous, podcasting will make more money for me, for being famous, than doing the Wendy Williams Show.”
She has made it clear that she is “100 percent retired” from her daily TV show.
Wendy’s still in the planning stages when it comes to exactly what she’ll be looking at during the podcast—though, as we first reported, she’s Some celebrity guests in mind previously. But the biggest thing she dropped on us was about her battle with lymphedema.
She had no problem raising her foot to reveal just how swollen she was from the condition — which is caused by a blockage in the lymphatic system. Wendy says she can’t help but feel “maybe 5 percent of my foot”… but she also explained how she doesn’t let her slow down.
the background
Up until that point, we got a video of her in New York City on Monday night, and she seemed to be moving well.
Wendy says it was an amicable breakup with the production company of her TV show Debmar-Mercury, and while she swore she did with TV – she admitted there was one party she would still do…but only as a guest host.
Oh, and fans of “TWWS” furniture will notice… Wendy was talking to us from her famous throne, now in her home office! Watch the full interview on TMZ Live on Tuesday.
