Contemplating the wider royal family, Sharon said: “A lot of people are missing out on purpose – they are a family, a close-knit family. The grandchildren and children will be completely destroyed.”

You represented the force. Why would anyone want to come to Britain? Because of our traditions, because of our royal family.

Everything that comes with Britain is historic. I kept going and that’s what makes Britain different from any other – our traditions.

The British-American TV star touched on Her Majesty’s recent jubilee celebrations: “Look what we’ve been through this year celebrating her – it was so cool – nobody does it like the English do.”

You can never say anything against the Queen, she has never missed a single move. And when she swore her oath to be a servant of this country she never spoiled it – she served this country all her life.

Can you imagine the things she would have set aside, personally, and family wise, the things she would have loved to do, to serve her country.

You never make a mistake, she is an amazing woman. She will go down in history as the greatest queen the country has ever known.

The monarchy’s death has been confirmed and a Buckingham Palace spokesperson said: ‘The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. The King and Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow.’

Her son Charles, the former Prince of Wales, is now King Charles III, as the world mourns his mother, Britain’s longest-reigning monarch.

Sharon added: ‘It’s worrying and I know the mourning will go on and on, and people will never stop mourning for her, but I have to say I think Charles would be a wonderful king, I respect him a lot and I do. I think he will take care of all of us.

He would be a good king, he couldn’t fill her place but he would do it his way. I have every confidence, I adore him, I respect him and he will do great things for this country.

The Queen’s death will see Britain and its Commonwealth realms enter a ten-day period of mourning as millions of her subjects in the UK and abroad come to terms with her death.

And as her son ascends the throne, there will also be a celebration of her historic 70-year anniversary that saw her reach a platinum jubilee this year – a milestone a British monarch is unlikely to reach again.

King Charles said: The passing of my beloved mother, Her Majesty the Queen, is a moment of great sadness for me and all my family.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of our dear, beloved mother. I know her loss will be deeply felt throughout the country, realms and commonwealth, and by countless people around the world.

“During this period of mourning and change, my family and I will feel comfortable and sustained by knowing the deep respect and affection the Queen has received so widely.”
