It must be their wedding out of this world.

Edwin “Buzz” Aldrin, who became the second person to set foot on the moon in 1969, after fellow man Neil Armstrong, wed his “longtime love” on his 93rd birthday on Friday.

The former astronaut announced his marriage on Twitter.

“On my 93rd birthday and the day that will also be honored by the Living Legends of Aviation, I am pleased to announce that my longtime love Dr. Anca Faur and I have tied the knot,” Aldrin wrote. “We joined holy matrimony in a small private ceremony in Los Angeles and we’re as excited as teens on the run.”

He posted two photos of himself in a tuxedo and Fur in a long-sleeve dress.

Alden also thanked the fans for their birthday wishes In another tweet on Friday. “It means a lot and I hope to continue to serve a greater cause for many revolutions around the Sun,” he wrote.

In July 1969, Apollo 11 mission commander Armstrong, lunar module commander Buzz Aldrin, and command module pilot Michael Collins set off on the nearly 250,000-mile journey to the Moon. It took them four days to reach their destination.

Armstrong was on the lunar surface for 2 hours 32 minutes, and Aldrin, who followed him, spent about 15 minutes less.

The two astronauts put down an American flag, collected moon rocks, and conducted science experiments before returning to the spacecraft. They also spoke to President Richard Nixon on the radio from the Oval Office.

The three astronauts returned home to a hero’s welcome.
