Lizo play James MadisonThe flute may have conservative critics, but the people who are the fourth president’s house couldn’t be happier urging her to make a house call ASAP.
A representative of James Madison’s Montpellier estate told TMZ… Lizzo now has an open invitation to take a private tour of Madison’s well-preserved estate having made history with the prez-owned crystal tool.
They even hope she puts on a show while she’s visiting – whether it’s a planned concert or a simple jam session on the go!!!
They’re hoping they can do something with the Library of Congress to get the crystal flute — which dates back to 1813 — to bring the Lizzo Collection. The estate notes that there is no evidence that J.M. played the instrument, so Lizzo could have been the first to play Madison’s flute at Madison’s home. Creator.
FYI – Historic Montpellier, located in Virginia, is a 2,650-acre property…that serves not only as a memorial to the former president, but also as a museum of American history and a center for constitutional education.
It’s unclear if Lizzo would accept the party – she’s currently in the middle of a tour – but, it should be noted that approximately 100 slaves were working in Montpellier when Madison lived there.
As we reported, lizzo made history By playing a few notes on the 200-year-old instrument on Tuesday…and we’re told, Montpellier doesn’t think anyone else deserves more—we call it a “royal flute,” with the singer fitting the bill.
The moment rubbed some people the wrong way (what else is new?)… as they claimed she shattered American history by using such unique monuments as part of her performance.
The people who know Madison best are clearly great with her.
