Winner: Mike White wins Best Writing in a Limited Series

The writing dream team and my aunt and uncle, Mindy Kaling and PJ Novak, take to the stage to present the best writer in a limited series. Mike White takes to the stage for the second time in a minute to take home his second Emmy of the night. He started talking about Survivor for a reason, so why not when you get a full seven extra seconds on stage.

Winner: Mike White wins Best Director for a Limited Series

Diego Luna And the Rosario Dawson Take to the stage to announce the nominees for Best Director in a Limited Series. Dawson makes an embarrassing joke about being ambushed in a dark parking lot, which seems to bother everyone. Can’t they give bidders a very difficult lead time, too?

Of course, Mike White wins The White Lotus. He weeps with tears for Molly Shannon and Jennifer Coolidge for inspiring him to write the show.

We spoke to her in 2020 about the organization – you can read that interview here.

Two of the cast members of the show that will surely dominate next year, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, on stage, Markella Cavina It gives us our second Australian accent at night. Hey, I’m in charge here.

Lizo She won on her dance reality show Watch Out for Big Grrls, and she has to change up this gorgeous dress on stage to get her award. “I need my big girls to come to the stage now,” she screamed and burst into tears. “When I was a little girl, all I wanted was to see someone like me in the media, fat like me, black like me, beautiful like me. If I could go back and tell little Lizzo something, I’d say ‘You’ll see that person, but bitch must be you.’” “

The big contestants (the show contestants) are in the back and have the time of their lives.

Seyfried won her performance as Elizabeth Holmes in The Dropout. Her slightly panicked speech made me feel that they should write threats on the teleprompter to motivate anyone who stays longer than 20 seconds.

Winner: Jennifer Coolidge Wins a Supporting Actress in a Limited Series

Freddy Highmore, who plays a doctor on the show Nobody Watches, thanks the doctors for being doctors, then goes to the award announcement. Five of the seven nominees in this category are in The White Lotus, and the Queen wins: Jennifer Coolidge.

“Oh, hi,” Coolidge purred, then sped off in her adorable way. “I took a lavender bath tonight and it made me swollen inside my dress, and I’m having a hard time speaking. This is so exciting—first, my gosh, I didn’t think it would happen,” she says with a laugh as she opens a scrambled speech. The music begins: “Wait, this is a once-in-a-lifetime thing – I’m full, I’m full!” She says, before she defiantly dances to the playoffs.

I love her. We all love her. Let’s put it all in.

We’re in an hour and we have our first slap joke from Will Smith. I salute the restraint.

There was only a weird extended movie that seemed to promote the work of the editors and a particular car brand that I won’t mention here because they don’t pay us to advertise it in blood, right. He got some confused applause at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. It makes me feel better that even millionaires with their golden idols watch this stuff too.

Winner: Last Week Tonight with John Oliver won Best Variety Talk Series

Steve Martin, Selena Gomez, and Martin Short present this award, reminding everyone why they are so excellent together at Only Murders in the Building and making everyone wish a little bit that he hosted them.

In any case, John Oliver wins; British comedian Martin and Short rode while receiving his statue. He also notes the punitive clock in his speech, saying it says “stop now” in capital letters. I’ve decided that I like this super fast, though so please pray for the Guardian to edit all my spelling in these posts.
