Chatterjee, Means sowing in Aymara Name of the robot designed by Bolivian Ramiro Mamani The 22-year-old concentrated and developed his knowledge A prototype for plowing the land and planting potatoes in a very short time in the rugged mountains of Bolivia.
This is about the twenty-second Prototype of old robots Ramiro, the second of seven siblings, explained to Efe that he had been designing since he was 16 and that they had helped bring the plot to life, something he had to do because of a lack of resources.

The artwork does its work on the plains Quinamaya is a small town about 35 kilometers southwest of La Paz, Ramiro’s parents have a small house with pets such as Ladislav and Rosa, cows, llamas and sheep, and a place to grow barley or potatoes.

An open industry
Ramiro left the city’s elementary school and, with a good reputation for teaching robotics, discovered his passion for the neighborhood when he went to Viaca School, the most important city near Guinea.
The young man saved money from his school days, working on Sundays in factories and then getting some basic pieces for a new creation or buying the first tools.
From then on, a series of robots were born that would collect debris or settle bases, and after they were settled, they would give life to new ones because it had to be “disassembled and reused” so as not to be stopped. .
For many years, he entered the public university of El Aldo to study electronic engineering. Thus he participated in many competitions and got some victories and made him stand out.

‘Padigua’ is the name of Ramiro’s workshop, a kind of cable house where he serves his tools, circuits, computer and garage at night.

The inventor recalled that it was a “cow dung barn” made of ancient adobe, and that in his youth it was in a state of disrepair until his paternal grandfather, who had the ability to install solar panels or pumps. Water, prompted him to redesign.
At the top of the main wall, there is a picture of Albert Einstein, like an altar in a church; From there other personalities like Steve Jobs, Nikola Tesla or Stephen Hawking emerge on the way down, and they themselves are the ‘inspiration’ when Ramiro decides to create.
Below is a small blackboard in which he invented handmade designs and set aside a computer for simulations and projects of his work based on mathematical formulas.
Sowing robot
When Isolation Last year, Ramiro returned to his parents’ home in Quinamaya to help with field assignments while taking distance classes, several times at the top of the mountain to pick up an internet signal.

“If I went to competitions, why not make a robot better to help my parents in planting potatoes” was his idea when he noticed his parents complaining about back pain and pain in other parts of the world.

Ramiro recalled it to fund his project. “The main problem is money”, So he collected some items such as old wheelbarrows, axles or pieces of iron and began to build the structure and buy other components.
“I had to sell a bull to buy batteries” that can be used to recharge the truck and provide autonomy of motion to the robot that will be used for plowing and sowing and initially operated by remote control.
The chassis has an iron steering wheel, a box made of sheepskin that serves as the driver’s seat, and has a plow disc system to attach the old rail to the pressure. All of these make for good performance.
Ramiro says his robot does the work of about four people With this, the product of the earth, which lasts about eight hours by hand, is reduced by about two. Also, energy costs are low.
“I want to create programs or robots to help the community that usually needs more physical labor” is the dream of this young man to retire from school and join the compulsory military service. Rural part of the country.
